Asian Wedding Photographer at Sattavis Patidar Centre
Built by and for the Shree Sattavis Gam Patidar Samaj community and a three minute walk from Wembley Park station, this is one of the busiest Gujarati and Hindu wedding venues in London. We have photographed here repeatedly and know how the halls behave.
Photographing at Sattavis Patidar Centre
Three halls, three different problems
The Mostyn suite seats around 500 for formal dining, the IK suite around 300, and the Dhamecha around 250. They light very differently. Knowing which suite you have booked changes the kit we bring, so tell us early.
Mandap lighting
Banqueting halls are mixed-lighting environments — tungsten uplighters against daylight-balanced spots. Left uncorrected this turns skin tones orange. We colour-manage on the day rather than trying to rescue it in the edit.
Working without disrupting the ceremony
The halls are wide, which tempts photographers to roam. We work longer lenses from the edges through the ceremony itself so the pheras and the vidaai are not punctuated by someone crossing the mandap.
Arrivals and the baraat
The approach to the building is the natural place for the baraat, and it is tight on space. We scout the arrival line beforehand so the dhol, the horse and the family entrance are all covered without a second shooter getting in the frame.

Which hall is best for photography?
All three work. The Mostyn suite gives the most room for a large baraat entrance and a wide mandap; the smaller suites suit intimate ceremonies and are easier to light warmly.
Do you use flash during the ceremony?
Sparingly and never into people's faces during a sacred moment. Most ceremony coverage is available light with fast lenses.
