The glasshouses
The Temperate House and the Palm House give extraordinary diffused light through the glass — soft, wrapping and completely unlike anything you get in a banqueting hall. They are also busy, so timing matters more than luck.
Scale
Three hundred acres is more than a wedding party can cover. We agree three or four specific locations in advance and move efficiently between them rather than wandering.
Seasonality
Kew photographs differently in every season and genuinely well in all of them. Autumn colour and spring blossom are the obvious draws, but winter light through the glasshouses is underrated.
Permits and public access
Kew is open to the public and controls commercial photography closely. Permissions and timings are arranged in advance — this is not a venue to improvise at.
